Derby County Under-18s fell to Everton in their 2019/20 season opener against Everton at Finch Farm.
The reigning Under-18s National Champions kicked-off their campaign on the road against to Toffees who finished third last season.
Justin Walker fielded five of his new scholars in the Starting XI.
Everton got off the mark first with Lewis Warrington scoring on the 24th minute before Reece Welch doubled their lead ten minutes later.
Second-year defender, Jaden Charles, pulled one back for the young Rams just after the hour mark.
The Under-18s will be back in action on Saturday when they take on West Bromwich Albion at the Training Ground in partnership with University of Derby.
