Derby County have completed the signing of England youth international striker Bobby Duncan from Italian side Fiorentina.

Duncan, who is 19, has joined the Rams on a three-year deal from the Italian top-flight outfit.

The striker, previously on the books of Premier League clubs Manchester City and Liverpool, will initially link up with Derby’s Under-23 squad.

Discussing Duncan’s arrival, Derby’s Academy Director Darren Wassall said: “Bobby Duncan is a player with plenty of potential and we are delighted that he has chosen to join Derby County.

“Initially, Bobby will join our Under-23s squad. Like with any other player in our Academy set-up, if they perform both in training and in matches then there is a pathway at this club to progress to the first-team.”

Duncan has represented England at Under-16, Under-17, Under-18 and Under-19 level and, in total, scored 14 goals from 31 youth international appearances for the Three Lions.

The striker was a schoolboy at both Wigan Athletic and Manchester City, before he joined Liverpool in the summer of 2018.

He netted over 30 goals at Academy level in the 2018/19 campaign, where the Reds won the FA Youth Cup, prior to moving to Italy to join Fiorentina in September 2019.

During his time with La Viola, Duncan found the back of the net four times from 12 outings at Academy level.
