Manager Wayne Rooney has reverted to a more familiar looking starting line-up for this afternoon’s Sky Bet Championship clash against Peterborough United (12:30pm kick off).

The Rams’ boss elected to field an inexperienced side for Tuesday night’s Carabao Cup First Round victory over Salford City, with many youngsters taking the opportunity to impress.

One who did impress was Festy Ebosele, who produced a man-of-the-match performance as Derby beat the Sky Bet League Two side 5-3 on penalties, after the tie had finished 3-3 on the night.

The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international has been rewarded for his display and has been named in the starting line-up for this afternoon’s clash against Posh.

It will be his first league start for the Rams as Rooney elects to field a more experienced side for the meeting with Darren Ferguson’s side.

Kelle Roos returns in goal, as Ryan Allsop reverts back to the substitutes’ bench, whilst the only man to retain his spot in defence is Craig Forsyth as he moves back to his more familiar left-back position.

Ravel Morrison, who scored a superb 20-yard volley on his Derby debut against Salford, makes his first league start, whilst Tom Lawrence returns to skipper the Rams.

Second year scholar Dylan Williams is named as a substitute following his debut for Rams on Tuesday night.
