TICKET NEWS…

Tickets for Derby County supporters are now OFF SALE.

The option to purchase tickets on the day of the game is NOT available and therefore Rams supporters without a ticket are advised not to travel to the John Smith's Stadium.

TEAM NEWS…

Polish international midfielder Krystian Bielik made his comeback from a long-term knee injury in Sunday's thrilling 2-2 draw against Birmingham City at Pride Park Stadium. He netted the Rams' late equaliser but injured his shoulder in the process and, while there is no serious damage, he is a doubt for the clash with the Terriers.

Winger Kamil Jozwiak was also injured in the game against Birmingham, after picking up a blow to his ankle in the first half of the match, and is being assessed by a specialist to determine if he requires surgery or not to correct the issue.

Midfielder Ravel Morrison is currently away on international duty with Jamaica for their latest 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and is not available for selection.

Striker Luke Plange is available after returning on loan for the remainder of the season in line with his Transfer Deadline Day move to Premier League side Crystal Palace for an undisclosed fee.

MANAGER'S THOUGHTS…

Manager Wayne Rooney offered his pre-match views to RamsTV ahead of the game and he said: I believe in these players; I think they have been incredible all season.

“I said after the 2-2 draw against Birmingham on Sunday that the performance certainly wasn’t good enough, but we got a point with two brilliant late goals and now we go again on Wednesday night.

“Huddersfield are having a good season. They’re a very energetic team, so we know we need to at least match that and play our way.

“I think if we play our way then we can cause them problems, but we need to make sure we match their energy. If we do that then I think we’ll have a good chance of taking something from the game.”

FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Goalkeeper Ryan Allsop spoke to RamsTV in the lead-up to the fixture against the Terriers.

He said: “We have improved our style of play each week and we don’t fear anyone in the league.

“We have to concentrate on ourselves, make sure that we play our game to our full capabilities and then results will come as long as we concentrate on what we can do best.”

MATCH OFFICIALS…

Matthew Donohue will oversee the match against the Terriers.

Donohue has overseen 21 games so far this season in all competitions, showing 84 yellow cards and five red cards.

His last Derby match was the 2-1 away win at Stoke City in December, thanks to goals from Luke Plange and Colin Kazim-Richards.

Donohue will be assisted by Philip Dermott and Paul Hodskinson on the lines, whilst Darren Bond has been appointed as the fourth official.

EFL SUBSTITUTE RULES…

The five substitutions rule has been scrapped for the 2021/22 season, the English Football League confirmed in July.

The rule allowing clubs to make five changes, as opposed to the usual three, was brought in following football's restart in June 2020 after a break due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Given that games had to be condensed into a short period of time it was thought beneficial and allowed managers to make as many as five changes in three intervals during a match.

Clubs had a longer post-break between seasons this time around and so the temporary rule has been changed.

Teams will be able to name seven substitutes but only use a maximum of three.

STREAMING INFORMATION…

With COVID-19 capacity restrictions lifted and EFL fixtures being played in front of full crowds once again, the temporary change in streaming rules is no longer valid.
