Louie Watson has left Derby County at the end of his contract to sign for Sky Bet Championship side Luton Town.

The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international has linked up with the Hatters at the end of his two-year spell at Pride Park Stadium after signing from West Ham United in 2020.

Derby have agreed an undisclosed compensation fee with Luton for Watson’s services.

Watson, who is 20, made six appearances for Derby last season and was a regular member of Pat Lyons’ Under-23 side.

Four of Watson’s outings last term came in the Championship, adding to the nine appearances he made in the 2020/21 season.

Derby County would like to wish Louie every success in his future endeavours and thank him for his efforts whilst with the club.
