Derby County Head Coach Paul Warne believes the 2-1 victory over Bolton Wanderers showed exactly what the team were about on Saturday afternoon.
Goals from Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and Conor Hourihane cemented all three points for the Rams in Sky Bet League One and ensured they made it 18 games unbeaten in all competitions.
Speaking to RamsTV after the match, Warne spoke of the performance and gave an update on the fitness of Louie Sibley and Eiran Cashin.
On the performance...
I'm really pleased. It was a bit like the game at their place in long periods in that we cancelled each other out, but I am really pleased with the performance overall. Both goals were really good and as the game went on we became really in the ascendancy. We looked a fit organised side that can get around teams. We like to press and don't want teams to come here and feel comfortable.
The effort from the front three at times was exemplary, backed up with the midfield,, and marshalled quite well at the back so I haven't really got many complaints.
On getting goals from all areas of the pitch...
I'm still disappointed that we aren't scoring off set-pieces, that's my bugbear. Sometimes in tight matches set-pieces can win you a game and we keep relying on amazing goals.
We've done quite a lot this week on final deliveries and being a bit more concise and it paid off. We got two great goals. I'm asking the wide players to chip in and for Nat to score and for Tom to do a deft header to set up Conor, who I never doubted would score.
There can't be a pressure on just Collo and Didzy to score so the more that score the better. Everyone wants to score goals, everyone wants to make memories.
I said beforehand that we'll know what we are about after today and I'm not saying we've got it sussed, because we haven't, but since we've been here we've struggled against the bigger sides and today was a really good win against a very good team.
On today's back four...
It's always about the group, not the eleven. The eleven were great today but it will possibly be a different one next week and you always need someone to come in.
It's testament to the staff at the football club and the players themselves that they've kept themselves fit so I thought they stepped in and did really well.
On Eiran Cashin and Louie Sibley...
Cash was a little bit tight in his hamstring at Cheltenham last week but he may be available for Tuesday night at Port Vale. Sibs pulled up in training on Friday so I don't honestly know. He'll get a scan on his groin on Monday and my gut instinct is that he'll be out for around two weeks, so I don't think we'll see him before the West Ham United FA Cup game at the end of the month.
