Goalkeeper Harrison Foulkes (Kettering Town), midfielder Connor Dixon (Ilkeston Town) and forwards Bartosz Cybulski (Solihull Moors) and George Nunn (Mickleover FC) are all out on loan gaining first-team match experience.

January signings Kido Taylor-Hart, Billy Vigar and Owen Oseni all made their debuts last time out in the 3-0 home loss to Norwich City and are expected to feature once again.

The Season So Far...

The Under-21s won four games in a row going into Christmas during a five-match unbeaten run, but they have lost their three league matches so far in 2023.

Three of the wins in their fine run came in the Premier League Cup for Pat Lyons’ side to reach the knockout stages of the competition, while a victory at Graham Street Prims in the Derbyshire Senior Cup set them up for a Fourth Round trip to Alfreton Town which, after being postponed in January, will be played at the start of March.

In Premier League 2 - Division 2, Derby do have some work to do after tasting 12 defeats from 12 matches in the league so far.
