Derby County return to Pride Park Stadium this Saturday when they welcome high-flying Ipswich Town to Derbyshire (3pm kick-off).

The Rams are looking to bounce back from two defeats in a row in Sky Bet League One for the first time under Head Coach Paul Warne, but face an Ipswich side that have won six in a row.

In the lead-up to the game getting underway, dcfc.co.uk has brought together all the key information you need to know…

Team News

Midfielder Jason Knight is available for selection once again after sitting out last weekend's 2-0 loss at Peterborough United whilst on international duty with the Republic of Ireland.

Winger Tony Springett (ankle) picked up a knock in training and will be unavailable for Saturday's game against Ipswich.

Defender James Chester will play 90 minutes for the Under-21s on Friday evening against Southampton at Loughborough University Stadium as he continues to work his way back to full fitness after two calf injuries, meaning he hasn't played a first-team game since October.

Warne's Words

Head Coach Paul Warne sat down with RamsTV to preview Saturday's match against the Tractor Boys.

He said: "Ipswich have gone six wins on the spin without conceding. They score a set-piece goal every two games and if you get that right, you're always going to be in the top six. Virtually every team that gets promoted seems to be the best at set-pieces.

"They recruited well in January and they've got choices of players all over the park. They like to play out from the back, they are in very good form and there's not much more I can say about them. They are one of the leaders and blueprints for the league."

From The Dressing Room

Midfielder Jason Knight spoke to RamsTV after returning from international duty with the Republic of Ireland.

He said: "We've hit a bit of a bump of late but this is a great game for us to bounce back in front of a bumper crowd. Everyone is looking forward to it, everyone is excited and everyone is feeling fresh so it's going to be a great game.

"Not long ago we were on a good run of form, it's all a rollercoaster. We've got a lot of experienced lads in our group so everyone is grounded but determined to put our run of form to bed and get better."

Match Officials

Anthony Backhouse will take charge of Saturday's game between Derby and Ipswich.

Andy Bennett and Richard Woodward will be his assistants whilst Mark Jones is on fourth official duties.

Backhouse has been in charge of 28 games so far this season and distributed 95 yellow cards and no red cards. He's awarded three penalties during that time.

Backhouse has officiated the Rams twice already this season; the opener at home against Oxford United back in July, with Derby 1-0 winners, and most recently in the 2-1 FA Cup Second Round victory away at Newport County in November.
