Derby County is delighted to announce Derby-based AAA Videogame Developer BULKHEAD as their sleeve sponsor for the remainder of the 2023/24 season.

The brand-new BULKHEAD logo will appear exclusively on the Rams’ shirts for the first time when they host Burton Albion at Pride Park Stadium in Sky Bet League One on Monday 15th January (8pm kick-off).

Located in the heart of Derby, BULKHEAD serves as a centre for creativity in the Indie and AAA game development space. After seeing exponential growth over the last few years and as they look to grow their presence and office space in Derby, BULKHEAD are now looking to get more connected with the local Derby community and sponsorship of Derby County is a key starting point for this.

Joe Brammer, who is the Chief Executive Officer of BULKHEAD, said: “Video Games is one of the biggest industries in the world. BULKHEAD are the underdogs in video games, just how we like it in Derby.

“We’ve been here for over a decade and kept a low profile. But we are proud to make video games in Derby. We love this city, so it’s time for us to get better connected with our community and start shouting about the great things coming out of Derby and there is no better way to do that than by backing the Rams.”

Stephen Pearce, Derby County’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “The partnership with BULKHEAD is another example of the club’s appeal to a local and successful enterprise demonstrably pushing the boundaries of its business far and wide whilst championing the city.

“We look forward to seeing BULKHEAD on the shirt sleeves of the Men’s First and Under-21 Teams and the Women’s First Team, and during matchdays on the recently upgraded stadium videowalls, scoreboard screen and LED ribbon for the remainder of the season and look forward to welcoming them into the football community.”

About BULKHEAD

BULKHEAD was formed in 2014, creating indie titles The Turing Test and Battalion 1944 with even bigger ambitions to make a real impact within the AAA shooter space.

As the studio grew from the six initial founders, they have fully embraced their ethos 'BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE' by championing unprecedented benefits such as their 4 Day Work Week to help achieve that ambition alongside passionate and motivated developers.

In 2022, the studio was acquired by Splash Damage, and they have since grown to 120+ in-house employees working on their own AAA IP 'WARDOGS' - a title they believe will become the ultimate all out warfare FPS.
