Derby County have sealed promotion back to the Sky Bet Championship for the 2024/25 campaign.

Derby secured automatic promotion from League One on Saturday afternoon at Pride Park Stadium against Carlisle United.

The side were 2-0 winners over Carlisle United to conclude a successful 2023/24 campaign on the pitch with 28 wins and eight draws, recording 92 points along the way.

Head Coach Paul Warne, supported by his backroom staff behind the scenes, has overseen the club’s return to the second tier of English football after two seasons in League One.

After finishing seventh in League One in 2022/23 season, in a year which saw the club quickly rebuild under the ownership of Clowes Developments (UK) Ltd after spending most of the previous campaign in administration and one of the toughest periods in the club’s long and proud history, Derby have been a strong and consistent promotion contender this time around.

Derby’s players have collectively stepped up on the pitch to produce some excellent performances and victories, finding several different ways to win games and put points on the board. They’ve set records along the way, too, picking up the most points in a campaign in club history and also winning 13 away matches in a league season for the first time.

Backed by a raucous, dedicated and passionate support at Pride Park Stadium and on the road throughout the year, the Rams’ average attendance has proudly topped the League One standings all season long.

A year of unity, where the club’s true characteristics and values have been clear throughout the season, has now concluded with promotion - a fitting reward for everyone associated with Derby County Football Club.

Thank you, everyone, for playing your part. Enjoy the celebrations!
