A Derby County XI were in pre-season action at Moor Farm Training Ground on Tuesday afternoon.

A youthful Derby XI played out a pre-season training match against National League side Scunthorpe United in a behind-closed-doors encounter at the Rams’ training complex.
The Rams’ line-up included goalkeeper Josh Vickers and striker Dajaune Brown, back after a minor injury, as well as several players from the Academy who have been in-and-around the first-team squad during pre-season, including Isaac Gordon, Lennon Wheeldon and Harry Hawkins.

Derby were overseen by First Team Coach Keith Downing, Senior Transition Coach Jake Buxton and B-Team Lead Coach Keith Briggs, with Head Coach John Eustace also in attendance.

The contest saw the two sides cancel each other out in a 0-0 draw.
Scunthorpe, managed by Andy Butler, are preparing for their return to the National League this season after securing promotion from National League North via the play-offs in the 2024/25 campaign.

Derby’s first team squad are in action this evening with a pre-season friendly at Solihull Moors, also of the National League (7:45pm kick-off).
