Derby County striker Dajaune Brown is eager to make the most of his loan spell at Sky Bet League One side Port Vale.

The 19-year-old sealed a season-long switch to the Valiants on Wednesday afternoon in order to gain further first-team experience.
The move to Vale Park will see the Academy graduate work under the management of popular former Derby defender and promotion-winner Darren Moore.
Brown has previous experience of heading out on loan after an impressive spell with National League side Gateshead during the 2023/24 season.
The striker scored 10 goals in 22 games in the second half of the campaign, winning the league’s Player of the Month award for March and playing a key role in their FA Trophy triumph.
He returned to Derby become a regular member of the first-team squad during the 2024/25 season and he made 18 appearances and scored two goals in all competitions.

Now, though, he will look to continue to develop his game with Vale in the third tier following their promotion from League Two last term.
Speaking to Port Vale’s website, Brown said: “It has been a hectic few weeks, but to finally get the deal done is a great feeling.
“It is also a great feeling to know that the manager has been tracking me through a number of past transfer windows, so it has been good to get in, meet him and start that relationship.”
He added: “I’ve had experience playing games in the Championship and the National League, and a few in League One as well. It is going to be exciting and I want to show what I can do.”

Brown featured in the first two rounds of the Carabao Cup this season for Derby against West Bromwich Albion and Burnley, as well as making a brief appearance off the bench in the Championship against Coventry City, ahead of making the move across the A50.
