Derby County Women have secured the services of young forward Minnie Wilson ahead of the 2025/26 season.

The attacker is the ninth player to join Head Coach Sam Griffiths’ side ahead of their FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division campaign.
Wilson is a product of Blackburn Rovers, having spent time within their Professional Game Academy and progressing through the ranks to play at Under-21 level.

The 18-year-old joins the Ewes after gaining her first experience of senior football last season, while on a dual-registration deal with fellow third-tier side Halifax.
The move makes her the second player to join after playing for Halifax last season, with right-back Jess Melrose also signing up with the Ewes earlier this week.
Despite being in a side that finished second bottom in the division last term, Wilson was the Eagles’ highest scoring player, netting four times in 18 games in her first full season away from Academy football.
