Derby County Women's Head Coach Sam Griffiths has been nominated for the FA Women’s National League Manager of the Month award for September 2025.
The recognition comes after Griffiths oversaw a perfect month for the Ewes with four wins and 11 goals scored across four matches in all competitions.
September began with an emphatic 6-2 win over Lincoln United in the FA Women’s National League Cup Group Stage.
The result was followed up by gaining six points in the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division, with a 2-0 success over Halifax at the Don Amott Arena, and a battling 1-0 win away from home against Sporting Khalsa a week later.
The month concluded with a 2-0 win on the road against Sheffield FC - the result meant the Ewes topped Group P of the FA WNL Cup to secure qualification for the First Round Proper.
Griffiths has been nominated for the September Manager of the Month Award alongside three other nominees: Lee Burch (Rugby Borough Women), Leanne Duffy (Liverpool Feds) and Renee Hector (Watford Women).
