Derby County Women face Sporting Khalsa in the FA Women's National League Northern Premier Division at the Don Amott Arena on Sunday 22nd February (2pm kick-off).

After back-to-back away games, the Ewes return home to Mickleover to face Sporting Khalsa, who reside at the bottom of the FA WNL Northern Premier Division.
The Ewes sit 10th in the league with six matches remaining, the spot above the relegation places. Just three points separate the sides in 10th and sixth place.
Head Coach Sam Griffiths' side have shared the spoils in their last two away games, building a two-game unbeaten run with a 2-2 draw against Halifax and a 1-1 result against Stoke City on Wednesday night.
Derby will look to build on the momentum going into the closing stages of the campaign when they clash with Khalsa.

Sporting Khalsa Women and Girls was established in 2015 following the merger with FC Reedswood, founded in 2004. The Women’s Section continues to be overseen by Chairwoman and founder Kelly Williams.

Khalsa operate a thriving girls section, two senior sides competing in the FA WNL and 7v7 Women’s Midweek Floodlight League Side, as well as a Wildcats Centre for girls 5-11 years old, and has the ‘SQUAD’ programme for 12-14 year olds.
The club achieved promotion and won the Staffordshire Women’s County Cup in their 20th anniversary year, and now embark in their second season in Tier 3.
The 2024/25 season saw the Queens finish in tenth place with a comfortable cushion above the drop zone and finishing one point behind seventh place.
Khalsa also reached the Staffordshire Women’s County Cup Final but lost out narrowly to Stoke City Women.
The season was the end of an era as Manager Andy Mulligan made the decision to step down. In the close season, First Team Coach Juan Dupazo was appointed as Manager.

Khalsa sit at the bottom of the division after 15 games, with two wins and one draw to their name.
Their last win came against Loughborough Lightning on the 2nd of November 2025, who sit just one point above them in the table.
Khalsa will be fighting for their lives with their FA Women's National League status on the line, and three points on Sunday would keep their hopes of remaining in the division alive.
This should make for a competitive clash for the Ewes; however, if Derby are to beat Khalsa, they can head upwards in the table and create distance from the relegation zone and push for a higher finish in the closely-fought division.
