West Bromwich Albion Women, known as the Baggies, have established themselves as one of the more competitive sides in the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division.
Founded in 1989 and formally affiliated with the club in 2004/05, the team has a long-standing history in the women’s game and has continued to grow both on and off the pitch. A major milestone came in 2015/16, when West Brom won the FA Women’s Premier League Northern Division, cementing their status as a serious force in the regional game.
More recently, the club has taken further steps towards greater professionalism after being fully integrated into West Bromwich Albion in June 2024. The appointment of Siobhan Hodgetts-Still as the club’s first full-time Women’s Manager in February 2025 marked another significant moment in that progression, as the Baggies continue to work towards becoming a fully professional women’s side.

On the pitch, West Brom arrive in excellent form, having won four of their last five league matches. Their latest victory came last weekend, when a stoppage-time winner from former Ewes forward Marli Rhodes-Andrews sealed a dramatic 3-2 win over Liverpool Feds at the Alexander Stadium.
Although most of their home league fixtures this season have been played at the Alexander Stadium, Sunday offers a rare opportunity for the Baggies to return to the Hawthorns, adding an extra layer of occasion to an already important fixture.
