INTERNATIONAL CALL-UP: Langås Selected for Norway World Cup Squad

Sondre Langås has been called up to the Norway squad ahead of the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Derby County defender made 25 appearances and scored three goals in all competitions during his second season with the Rams and has become a key figure in John Eustace’s side since moving from his home country in January 2025.

Langås has two international caps for Norway, having played for Ståle Solbakken’s side from the bench in the UEFA Nations League back in 2024.


The 25-year-old also featured in the squad when they qualified for the World Cup back in November 2025.

Norway will play in Group I in North America, in a group alongside France, Senegal and Iraq.

They will also play two preparatory friendly matches, firstly against Sweden at Ullevaal Stadium in Oslo on Monday 1st June (6pm kick-off) and then against Morocco over in New Jersey six days later (11pm kick-off).
