Derby County will take on Spanish club Valencia in a behind-closed-doors friendly next month.

The latest addition to the Rams’ 2026/27 pre-season schedule pits John Eustace’s side against the La Liga outfit at St. George’s Park on Tuesday 28th July.
It means Derby now have six fixtures, alongside a week-long camp in Austria, to shape their preparations for the upcoming Sky Bet Championship season.
The Rams begin pre-season with a trip to Alfreton Town (Friday 17th July) ahead of a meeting with Europa League finalists SC Freiburg (Friday 24th July) during the visit to Austria.
Upon their return to England, they will play Valencia at St. George’s Park (Tuesday 28th July), before travelling to Mansfield Town (Friday 31st July), Burton Albion (Saturday 1st August), and Rotherham United (Tuesday 4th August).

Please note, the Valencia fixture is to be played behind closed doors, meaning supporters will not be granted access to the venue.

Ticketing information for the Rams’ four other public pre-season matches will be announced in the coming weeks.
