Ticket Information For Derby's Algarve Cup Games

Ticket information has been confirmed for Derby County’s scheduled friendly games as part of their pre-season tour of Portugal.

Nigel Pearson’s side are based in the Algarve for a week-long training camp – between Wednesday 13th July and Wednesday 20th July – as part of their 2016/17 preparations and during their stay in the southern part of the country the club will compete in two games.

Derby will face Portuguese giants Benfica and fellow Primeira Liga outfit Vitoria Setubal in the Algarve Football Cup.

The first fixture will see a Derby take on Vitoria Setubal on Friday 15th July, kick-off: 8:30pm.

The following day will see Pearson’s side take on Benfica, who reached the Quarter-Finals of the 2015/16 UEFA Champions League competition and lifted the Primeira Liga title, on Saturday 16th July, kick-off also 8:30pm.

Both of Derby’s fixtures will be played at the state-of-the-art Estádio Algarve (Algarve Stadium) – a purpose built-stadium for the 2004 European Championship Finals. Boasting a capacity of around 30,000, the Estádio Algarve hosted three Euro 2004 fixtures and has since been occupied by the Portugal and Gibraltar national teams.

There are two ticket categories available for Derby supporters – which are detailed below:

€10 Adults & €5 Under 12s (West & East Stand – Level 1)
€12.50 Adults & €7.50 Under 12s (West & East Stand – Level 0)

* Please note Level 1 is the top tier and Level 0 is the bottom tier.

Tickets can be purchased in Portugal (details listed below) while the Algarve Cup organisers are giving fans the option to buy seats online through the Portuguese Post Office Company by Clicking Here, but please note that tickets can only be purchased one at a time rather than all together. The organisers of the competition had not originally planned to sell tickets online, but after gaining feedback they were keen to make this possible.

The Algarve Cup website has the address and contacts of Benfica’s delegations in the Algarve where the tickets will be on sale, prior to being available on 8th July at Estádio Algarve.

The competition organisers are also offering a bus service to and from the stadium for the games. From 6pm onwards a bus will run every 30 minutes from Faro bus terminal to the stadium up to kick off - and will also make a return trip after the game. Tickets are €4.50 per person and can be purchased at the bus terminal or on the bus itself – but they are only valid for return trips only and NOT one way.
