Derby County can confirm that an 18-year-old local man has received an immediate three-year ban from Pride Park Stadium after running onto the pitch during last night’s Sky Bet Championship game with QPR.

Collum Stone has also been charged with pitch encroachment and will appear before Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday January 2.

A Derby County spokesman said: “While we note that there is a judicial process regarding this matter, the club has the power to issue its own ban and this particular person is therefore excluded from the stadium for three years from today.'

“The club will not tolerate any encroachment onto the playing surface. Supporters know that the authorities will seek the most severe punishments possible for anybody who transgresses.”
