The Starbucks, based on-site at Pride Park Stadium, is to close on 28th June 2018 for a major refurbishment ahead of big relaunch towards the end of July.

It is at this point we would like to introduce you to The Backyard.

From Monday 23rd July, Derby County will be launching its very own coffee shop – with the rapidly growing artisan coffee roasters, 200 Degrees Coffee, providing our coffee beans.

As part of the relaunch, customers cannot only expect high quality hot drink offerings but enhanced food options throughout the day starting from 7am, full details of which will be confirmed in due course.

Speaking about the launch, Steve Fletcher, ClubDCFC General Manager, said: “We’re very excited to re-launch our coffee shop, The Backyard, at Pride Park Stadium.

“Our brand has gone from strength-to-strength and this opening represents a significant step forward for the company.

“At The Backyard, customers can choose to grab a snack on their way into work or relax with a full service breakfast offer in comfortable surroundings.

“It goes without saying that the coffee shop market has seen explosive growth in the UK over the last few years, and now we also want to offer locals and commuters high quality food options with the flexibility to grab it on the go if need be.”

Tom Vincent, Director at 200 Degrees Coffee, added: “Everyone at 200 Degrees is very excited to be working with Derby County, supplying the coffee and machines for their fantastic new coffee shop.

“Our beans are roasted at the other end of Brian Clough Way and we will be on hand to add our expertise to the already first-class hospitality at Pride Park.”

In the meantime, supporters are being urged to go to The Yard.
