Derby County will look to extend their unbeaten run to four games when they travel to The Hawthornes on Wednesday night to face West Bromwich Albion, kick-off: 8pm.

Frank Lampard’s side have jumped out of the blocks following the second international break to earn an impressive victory over Sheffield United and the Rams will look to keep that momentum going when they take on former Derby defender Darren Moore’s side.

TEAM NEWS…

After scoring the Rams’ first goal on Saturday, Craig Bryson was replaced as a precaution to a tight calf. Lampard expects the game against West Brom to come too soon but is hopeful the midfielder will not be out of action for long.

George Evans will also be out of contention for the upcoming fixture after a small issue that is unrelated to the knee injury that side-lined him since the end of August, as is Joe Ledley and Marcus Olsson.

WHAT THE BOSS HAD TO SAY…

When speaking to RamsTV, Lampard said: “Sheffield United were top and now we’re going to West Brom who are just above us and then we go to Middlesbrough who are top as it stands at the minute. It’s three strong in-form teams in the league and they are teams that have short-term Premier League history.

“West Brom have come down with a lot of strong players so they have reasons why they are strong this year and both games will be challenges for us.”

“They have performed at the highest level. I’ve been in England squads with Jay Rodriguez and Dwight Gayle will score goals, we all know that, and Harvey Barnes on-loan has been very impressive for them, Phillips has Premier League experience, so you go through the team and they have a lot of threats.

“That’s why they’ve won a lot of games because they have a good team and good manager. To win games, it’s sometimes the power you have in those front areas that can win games comfortably, so we must be aware of that.”
