Full-back Max Lowe helped his Aberdeen side to a 2-0 victory over St Johnstone at the weekend.

The Dons keep the pressure on Rangers, who occupy second position after the victory.

Lowe played the full 90 minutes and helped his side to a clean sheet as they sit two points off Steven Gerrard’s side in the table.

Elsewhere in Scotland, Kyle McAllister continued to impress for his St Mirren side as they look to beat the drop from the Scottish Premiership.

The winger, who has already netted two goals since his January arrival, was a constant threat throughout and provided the assist for the own goal which saw them draw 1-1 with Hearts at Tynecastle.

McAllister played 77 minutes in total but was a bright spark for his side who close the gap to four points at the bottom of the table.
