Derby County are to welcome their biggest crowd of the season to Pride Park Stadium on Sunday for the crucial final-day clash with West Bromwich Albion – and there’s still time to make sure you’re in attendance too!
Derby will take on the Baggies, who have already secured their place in the Sky Bet Championship’s end-of-season play-offs, on Sunday 5th May (12:30pm kick-off).
Frank Lampard’s side sit sixth in the table ahead of the final day clash knowing that a win will secure a play-off place.
Almost 32,000 tickets have already been sold and, with sales continuing to rise and a sell-out crowd expected, the Rams are encouraging home supporters to get their tickets as soon as possible for Sunday’s game.
The matchday price increase will come into operation from Sunday morning, so today is the final day to secure your seat for the biggest game of the season at the best possible price point.
A victory over the Baggies would also see Derby claim the double over their opponents, after they ran riot to claim a 4-1 success at the Hawthorns back in October in what was arguably one of their best performances of the season.
West Bromwich Albion will be backed by a sold-out away support, helping to assure an electric atmosphere at Pride Park as Frank Lampard’s side look to secure a spot in the play-offs to continue in their quest to gain promotion to the Premier League.
To add to the pre-match atmosphere, supporters are being advised to be in their seats early on Sunday. Club Ambassador Roy McFarland will present Fikayo Tomori and Jayden Bogle with the Jack Stamps Player of the Season and Sammy Crooks Young Player of the Season trophies from 12:05pm, while from 12:20pm local Derby poet Jamie Thrasivoulou will be reading his ‘We Are Derby’ poem live on the pitch.
