Derby County take their pre-season preparations up a notch on Wednesday evening (Kick-Off 6pm) when they take on Sarasota Metropolis in their first pre-season friendly match ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.
The Rams will face the USL League Two side at the IMG Academy Stadium in Florida, kick-off: 6pm local time (11pm UK time). Please note the earlier kick-off time from the origanally scheduled 7pm.
Phillip Cocu’s side have been based at the IMG Academy in Florida for their pre-season training trip where they have battled the heat and humidity while being put through their paces under the new manager.
The game – which is the first of five pre-season friendlies - will give Cocu his first look at his new squad and for the Rams to put into practice the work they have been doing on the training pitches.

The game against Metropolis is FREE to attend on Wednesday evening.
If you are joining us in the Sunshine State to catch the Rams in action, follow directions to 5650 Bollettieri Blvd., Bradenton, Fl 34210 to arrive at the IMGA West Campus Gate.
FREE parking is situated next to the IMG Academy Fieldhouse. Once you pass the security gate turn right at the first stop sign and right again to find the parking.
Make sure to bring a poncho as the stands are uncovered and storms have been forecast.
ABOUT SARASOTA METROPOLIS…
It is the debut season for Sarasota who were formed in January and play in the second division of the United Soccer League.
Former Italian striker, Massimo Marazzina, is the manager of the Florida based team having spent more than a decade playing in his home county.
Sarasota’s home ground is at the IMG Academy where the Rams have been based during their pre-season trip.
