Team News Confirmed For Girona Pre-Season Fixture

Manager Phillip Cocu has handed Pride Park Stadium debuts to summer signings Graeme Shinnie and Kieran Dowell for this evening’s pre-season fixture against Spanish outfit Girona (7:45pm kick-off).

Shinnie, a summer recruit from Scottish side Aberdeen, and Dowell, a loanee from Premier League side Everton, will make their bow in front of the home supporters this evening as Cocu makes changes to Saturday’s 5-2 victory over Sky Bet League One side Burton Albion.

Dowell is the only man to keep his place from that win at the weekend as the manager makes 10 changes to rotate the minutes.

Curtis Davies will captain the Rams this evening as four members of the Under-23s start for Cocu’s side.
