Full back Max Lowe has paid tribute to captain and club stalwart Richard Keogh after the central defender made his 350th appearance for Derby County on Saturday against Swansea City.

The 33-year-old reached the incredible landmark at the weekend which put him 20th on the list of appearances for the club.

And Keogh, who has started the opening two Sky Bet Championship fixtures of the season, still continues to inspire the youngsters at the football club.

“As young players, that is what everyone strives to do,” Lowe told RamsTV.

“It’s crazy, from when I was younger I can remember him being in the team and his game hasn’t changed at all.

“He is still making runs out the back and key passes and is a top-class defender, so hats off to him. He is a leader on the pitch and everyone can see that.

“One hundred percent, he is someone I still look up to. He probably doesn’t know that, even now that I am 22, but all the young lads that train with the first-team look up to him.

“If you have got a problem away from football or you want some help, he is the first person you would go to.”
