Derby County defender Lee Buchanan has been called up to the England Under-19 squad for their October matches.

The Three Lions will take on France on Wednesday 9th October, before facing Belgium on Saturday 12th October.

England’s Under-19s are managed by former Derby winger and coach Paul Simpson and both of their matches will take place at the Marbella Football Centre in Spain.

Buchanan, who is 18 and a graduate of Derby’s Academy, has made four first-team appearances this season and scored on his professional debut in a 1-0 Carabao Cup First Round victory at Scunthorpe United in October.

His impressive early-season form saw him called up to the England Under-19 squad for the first time during the first international break of the campaign, but he was forced to withdraw due to a hamstring injury.
