Derby County forward Morgan Whittaker has been added to the England Under-19 squad for their upcoming international matches.

England’s Under-19s are managed by former Derby winger and coach Paul Simpson will be based at the Marbella Football Centre in Spain for their October fixtures.

They will take on France on Wednesday 9th October, before facing Belgium on Saturday 12th October.

Whittaker has been called up after initially being placed on stand-by and will join fellow Ram Lee Buchanan in the Under-19s squad.

Eighteen-year old Whittaker made his professional debut for Derby earlier in the season in the Carabao Cup First Round at Scunthorpe United, before making his first-ever career start in the Second Round tie at Nottingham Forest.

He has also been a regular for Darren Wassall’s Under-23s and also scored both goals as Derby’s Under-19s ran out 2-0 winners against FC Minsk in their UEFA Youth League Round One First Leg encounter earlier this week.

Whittaker has scored six goals in nine appearances across all teams so far this season, as well as netting 30 goals in all since the beginning of last season.
