Derby County defender Lee Buchanan earned his second cap for England Under-19s yesterday and was part of an emphatic win.

The Rams full back played the full 90 minutes as the Young Lions beat Luxemburg 4-0 in Skopje, North Macedonia.

England Under-19s, who are managed by former Ram Paul Simpson, got off to a good start as Manchester City’s Taylor Harwood-Bellis netted early to open the scoring.

A brace from Fiorentina’s Bobby Duncan gave England a 3-0 half time lead, whilst Hamburg’s Xavier Ameachi rounding off the scoring in the second half in a convincing win.

Buchanan could be in line for his third cap on as the Young Lions return to action on Saturday as they face hosts Macedonia at their national football centre.

The left back has made four appearances for Derby County’s first team this season and scored on his debut in a Carabao Cup first round victory against Scunthorpe United.
