Derby County midfielder Jason Knight has been called to the latest Republic of Ireland Under-21 squad.

The 18-year-old Academy graduate will link up with Stephen Kenny’s squad for their UEFA Under 21 European Championships qualifiers against Armenia and Sweden.

Ireland’s Under-21s are set to travel to Yerevan, Armenia for their qualifier on Thursday 14th November (4pm kick-off local time), before returning to Ireland to face Sweden on Tuesday 19th November (8pm kick-off).

Ireland are top of Group A after winning three and drawing one of their five qualifiers so far.

Knight, who made his professional debut for the Rams at the beginning of the campaign, has made nine appearances in all competitions.

He was also shortlisted for October’s Premier League 2 Player of the Month award after some impressive displays for Derby’s Under-23s during the month.
