Phillip Cocu has revealed some mixed injury news for Derby County ahead of Friday’s home fixture against Fulham (7:45pm kick-off).

Andre Wisdom is set to be available for selection for the meeting with the Cottagers under the Pride Park Stadium floodlights, however Duane Holmes is set for a spell out of action.

Wisdom felt some tightness in his hamstring in the latter stages of last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Huddersfield Town, while Holmes was forced off early on in the game against the Terriers with an injury to his lower leg.

Defender Wisdom has trained for the last few days, putting aside any fears of a spell in the treatment room, while Cocu says attacking midfielder Holmes will be out for ‘several weeks’.

Cocu told RamsTV on Wednesday afternoon: “Andre Wisdom is available, he trained after two days of rest and one day to adapt. He is fine.

“Duane Holmes will be out for several weeks. That is a setback for the team because he has been playing very well and his development was really positive so to lose a player with his qualities is a pity for the team.

“However, it opens the door for a new player who can get a chance.”

Wisdom has made 14 appearances in all competitions so far this season, after missing the early months of the campaign with a knee injury, while Holmes has appeared in 31 matches in total and scored three times.
