Manager Wayne Rooney has made three changes to the side which faced Reading on Easter Monday for this afternoon’s Sky Bet Championship clash against leaders Norwich City at Pride Park Stadium (3pm kick-off).

Injuries have forced the manager’s hand slightly as a number of key players have been ruled out with various knocks.

The latest casualty is right-back Nathan Byrne, who suffered a head injury against the Royals on Monday, which means Academy graduate Kornell McDonald makes his first professional start for the Rams.

The defender, who has progressed through the club’s fruitful youth system, has appeared six times so far this season from the substitutes bench but will make his full debut against the Canaries.

The other changes come in attack as Patrick Roberts and Kamil Jozwiak return to the starting line-up. Both were utilised as second half substitutes during the game against Reading, but have both been handed starts against the division's leaders.

Louie Sibley and Jason Knight move to the substitutes' bench, alongside further Academy graduates Lee Buchanan, Josh Shonibare, Cameron Cresswell and Festy Ebosele, who has stepped up to the first team squad for the first time.
