Pre-Match Information: Bolton Wanderers (A)

Derby County return to Sky Bet League One action on Tuesday to get their Chritmas games programme underway when they travel to fellow top six rivals Bolton Wanderers (3pm kick-off).

Prior to the Boxing Day match-ups, one point and one place separate the two teams and a win for either will be vital in solidifying themselves in the top six.

In the lead-up to it getting underway, dcfc.co.uk has brought together all the key information you need to know…

Team News

Defender James Chester (calf) has stepped up his recovery from injury but remains out for the trip to Bolton, but he is now back in training after two months out of action.

On-loan West Ham United goalkeeper Joseph Anang (arm) has now resumed full training with the rest of the squad and, like Chester, is building up his fitness after a long spell out of action.

Warne's Words

Head Coach Paul Warne sat down with RamsTV to preview Tuesday's game.

On Bolton, he said: "They know the league, they know the opposition, they know each other and they've had the same manager for a period of time. They've got a real good following and backing and got some really good players. Like any team in this league, if you play them on their best day then you are in for a difficult game but even more so those in the top six.

"It's a big game for both teams and hopefully it will be a good one. Whoever comes outs victorious, if a team does, will give themselves a massive boost going into the remainder of the festive fixtures."

From The Dressing Room

Midfielder Jason Knight spoke to RamsTV ahead of Tuesday's match.

He said: "Bolton are a space above us in the table and they are the kind of teams we need to beat if we want to get our ultimate goal, which is promotion to the Championship.

"These are the games you want to play in, we want to win and we have to win really."

Match Officials

Samuel Barrott will take charge of Tuesday's match on the road and will be assisted by Daniel Woodward and Mark Jones.

Peter Wright is on fourth official duties.

Barrott has officiated 24 games so far in this campaign including the Rams' 2-1 victory over Wycombe Wanderers back in September.

He's handed out 70 yellow cards, zero reds and awarded five penalties.

Rams On The Road

Ahead of each away trip this season, we're running a feature called 'Rams On The Road.'

In this instalment, we take an in-depth look at Ian Evatt's Bolton Wanderers.

Ticket Information

Derby will be backed by a packed away end at the University of Bolton Stadium.

Derby were handed a total allocation of 5,153 tickets for the match and these have now completely sold out.

No further tickets will be made available.

Those fans without a ticket are advised not to make the journey to Bolton, as they will be unable to gain access to the stadium.
