Five Derby County Academy prospects will head off to represent their nations during the March international fixture window.

The fixture window runs from Monday 17th March until Tuesday 25th March.

Three youngsters will look to feature in UEFA Under-19 European Championships qualifying action as their respective nations look to secure a place at this summer’s tournament in the final stage of qualification.

Both Wales and the Republic of Ireland's Under-19s squads succeeded in the first group stage ‘Qualifying Round’. The competition will be further narrowed down in a second group phase, the ‘Elite Round’, before the tournament proper in July 2025.

Daniel Cox and Cruz Allen - Wales Under-19

Defender Daniel Cox and attacking midfielder Cruz Allen are in line to play three fixtures for Wales Under-19s in the UEFA Under-19 European Championships Elite Round.

Cox has donned the armband for Chris Gunter’s side in multiple fixtures and has represented his county through the age groups on 20 occasions - including 14 matches with the Under-19s.

Allen went up to the Under-19 age level for the first time in November’s international window and added two more international appearances to his tally of 20 built up from Under-16 to Under-18 level.

Wales will kick-off their European Championship Elite Round campaign in Group 7 with matches against England (Wednesday 19th March, 6pm kick-off), Portugal (Saturday 22nd March, 5pm kick-off) and Turkey (Tuesday 25th March, 7pm kick-off).

Freddie Turley - Republic of Ireland Under-19

Versatile performer Freddie Turley has been called up to the Republic of Ireland Under-19 squad for their UEFA European Championship Elite Round matches.

Ireland's Under-19s will head to Germany where they will face Finland (Wednesday 19th March, 11am kick-off), Slovenia (Saturday 22nd March, 11am) and Germany (Tuesday 25th March, 3pm kick-off).

Midfielder Turley, who can also play in defence, has made 16 appearances in Premier League 2 for Derby’s Under-21s since joining the club in the summer of 2024. He has made a total of 34 appearances for his national team from Under-16 to Under-19 level.

14 of those appearances came for Tom Mohan’s Under-19 squad - four of which saw Turley captaining the side during November’s successful Qualifying Round campaign that included a 4-0 win over Azerbaijan and a 2-1 victory against Iceland.

Darren Robinson - Northern Ireland Under-21

Midfielder Darren Robinson will represent Northern Ireland Under-21s across three friendly matches in the March international window.

Tommy Wright’s Under-21s side are set to take part in a mini tournament in Antalya, Turkey where they will play against Ukraine Under-20s, Uzbekistan Under-21s and Turkmenistan Under-21s.

The matches come in preparation for their UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying group stage fixtures later in the year.

Robinson has made 12 appearances for Derby’s Under-21s in Premier League 2 this season and featured six times in a loan move to National League side Hartlepool United in the first half of the season. He also has four senior appearances to his name - with three EFL Trophy outings and one appearance in the Sky Bet Championship.

Demiane Agustien - Netherlands Under-18

Attacking midfielder Demiane Agustien has received his first call-up to the Netherlands Under-18 team for the Oranje’s March fixtures.

Agustien has made 14 appearances in the Under-18 Premier League with Danny Maye’s side and stepped up to feature four times for the Under-21s in Premier League 2.

The 17-year-old has previously made three appearances at Under-17 level for Curaçao but is eligible for the Netherlands and has been selected as part of the young Dutch squad as they look ahead to two friendly fixtures in Spain.

They will face Denmark (Thursday 20th March, 7pm kick-off) and Germany (Sunday 23rd March, 5pm kick-off) at the Pinatar Arena.
