Derby County are back at Pride Park Stadium on Wednesday night against Millwall in the Sky Bet Championship (7:45pm kick-off).

John Eustace's side will be looking to put their back-to-back losses at Middlesbrough and at home to Leicester City firmly behind them, but they will face a tough test against a strong Millwall outfit that is competing at the top end of the table.
Despite the recent defeats, the Rams have been on a positive run of form lately after winning six of their last nine matches and will look to return to winning ways as soon as possible in front of the home faithful.
The Lions have been flying so far this term, winning ten of their 19 outings in the second tier as they chase promotion to the Premier League for the first time in their history.

Tickets for the Rams' latest home game are still available and can be purchased online, over the phone or in person from the Ticket Office.
Supporters are urged to buy tickets in advance to avoid the matchday price increase.

It’s been quite a 2025 for Millwall, and if the Lions keep up their current sparkling form, 2026 could be even better.
In three weeks’ time, Alex Neil will celebrate the first anniversary of his appointment as Millwall’s head coach, and he’ll be entitled to raise a glass to mark the moment. And that will not just be because it will be New Year’s Day!
The 44-year-old has enjoyed a stellar year in charge of the Lions, the fifth Championship club that he has been in charge of and has helped the club to see that a place in the Premier League is finally within touching distance.
Millwall have only ever played two seasons in the top-flight of English football. They were both more than 35 years ago, before the Premier League era, and when legends Teddy Sheringham and Tony Cascarino were in their goalscoring pomp.

They hadn’t even moved into their current stadium and were still playing at their old ground on Cold Blow Lane. Now, a place back in the coveted top tier seems closer than it has ever been, thanks largely to the transformation that has happened under Neil’s watch.
The Scot took charge of his first Millwall game on 1st January, taking over form Neil Harris who had announced his decision to stand down a few weeks before, with the team sitting 13th in the Championship table. They finished the campaign in eighth, two points outside the top six, but had they won their final game of the season at already promoted Burnley, they would have made the play-offs for the first time since 2002.
Progress has continued this season and now the goal might not just be a spot in the end of season promotion shoot-out, but rather automatic promotion.

The rise has been down to a fantastic win percentage in the games that they play with Neil currently registering a 52% win ratio from the Millwall games he has been in charge of – his best record since the early days in charge of Hamilton Academicals in Scottish football.
It’s not that the Lions don’t lose – in fact the record shows that they have lost almost one in three games this calendar year – it’s just that they very rarely draw games. Since they last played Derby here at Pride Park in February, they have played 32 league fixtures and drawn only four of them.
Two of those draws have come in the last seven games but Millwall travel to the East Midlands on the back of three consecutive Championship victories and having won seven of their last 11 league games. Since the season settled down after the closing of the transfer window, only run-away Championship pacesetters Coventry City have won more points than the Lions.
There are several of players to have represented both Derby County and Millwall down the years.

Midfielder Adam Bolder is one of the players to turn out for the Rams and the Lions.
Bolder was on Derby’s books between 2000 and 2007 after signing from Hull City, appearing 181 times and scoring 11 goals in total.
He went on to join Queens Park Rangers upon leaving the Rams and his time with Millwall came across the 2008/09 and 2019/10 seasons in League One, initially on loan before signing permanently, appearing 37 times in total.

Other players to have turned out for both Derby and Millwall include Zak Whitbread, Martyn Waghorn, Mason Bennett, George Evans, Lee Gregory, Rob Hulse, Scott Malone, Theo Robinson, Alex Pearce, Adam Smith and the late Jamie Vincent.
Head Coach John Eustace spoke to RamsTV to look ahead to the midweek clash with the Lions.
Defender Sondre Langås also spoke to RamsTV to preview the side's second home fixture inside five days.

Thomas Kirk will be in charge of the midweek clash between the Rams and the Lions.
Kirk has overseen 14 matches in total over the course of the 2025/26 season, producing 54 yellows and a single red card.
He was the man in the middle for Derby’s 2-1 victory at Blackburn Rovers at the start of November, as well as the Carabao Cup Round One tie at West Bromwich Albion in August which the Rams won on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
Johnathon Bickerdike and Carl Fitch-Jackson will be the Assistant Referees, while Anthony Backhouse will act as the Fourth Official.
