Matt Clarke’s immense run of form in March has seen him shortlisted for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month Award.

A stalwart in the Rams’ backline this season, the 29-year-old was part of a side which recorded three victories - and two clean sheets – during March, while he netted the decisive goal in the 2-1 home win over Sheffield Wednesday.
His performance at Portsmouth in the middle of the month saw him scoop the Sky Sports Player of the Match award, while he also played a vital role in securing a shutout in the win over Birmingham City at Pride Park Stadium five days later.
Clarke has been a near ever-present this season, missing just one of Derby’s 41 Championship matches this term, recording three goals and three assists.

The judging panel for the Sky Bet Player of the Month comprises Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman; EFL Chief Executive Trevor Birch and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies.
The winner will be announced on Friday 10th April 2026.
