Derby County are inviting fans to take part in Macmillan Cancer Support’s ‘Mighty Hike’ taking place in the Peak District on 18th July.

Starting at Bakewell, with a half (14.2 miles) or full (26.2 miles) marathon option, fans are urged to join our team of ‘Ram-blers’ to generate vital funds for Macmillan, our partner charity.
The Peak District Mighty Hike is a clockwise route, starting in Bakewell and walking through the beautiful countryside. The half marathon finishes in Flagg, before the full marathon continues around and back into Bakewell for the finish line. It is one of Macmillan’s flatter hikes, where you’ll walk alongside crystal-clear rivers and disused railways, with fantastic views over the countryside along the Pennine Bridgeway and Midshires Way.
All ‘Ram-blers’ will receive a Macmillan technical hiking T-shirt, a clearly marked route and expert mountain leaders, free professional photos, a fresh buffet lunch (and additional hot meal to finish for the full marathon route), regular pit stops with snacks and refreshments and a Mighty medal and glass of bubbly to celebrate crossing the finish.
By joining the Mighty Hike as a team, participants will receive 50% off their registration fee (£10 for half marathon and £12.50 for full marathon) so all ‘Ram-blers’ interested should complete the form here. Please do not register directly through Macmillan otherwise we cannot redeem the preferential rate for you.
Once you have registered your details below, you’ll be contact by the club to confirm your entry and organise registration payment. You’ll then be looked after by the expert team at Macmillan, who will support you every step of the way!
Funds raised by the ‘Ram-blers’ will form an important part of the club’s ongoing fundraising and relationship with the national charity, who have been the club’s official charity partner since the start of the 2025/26 campaign. All participants pledge to raise a minimum of £250, which will be administered via a dedicated JustGiving page.
Please register using the form here by Thursday 30th April. Please note, Derby County will administer your details to facilitate your booking but the event is ran by Macmillan and all entry conditions are available via their website.
