Darren Wassall’s Derby side topped their group in the opening round of the competition before going onto beat Wolves 2-1 at Pride Park Stadium in the last round just before the international break.
Derby’s Under-23s now face a trip to Northumberland FA to take on a Newcastle as they look to reach the Semi-Finals.
