Manager Phillip Cocu has made one enforced change from Friday night’s 1-1 draw with East Midlands rivals Nottingham Forest for this evening’s Sky Bet Championship clash against Cardiff City at Pride Park Stadium (7:45pm kick-off).

That change comes in goal as goalkeeper David Marshall is forced to miss out through injury. That means Kelle Roos comes in for his first league start of the season.

Fresh from his goalscoring return to the team following injury, Martyn Waghorn retains his place in attack alongside Tom Lawrence and Kamil Jozwiak.

Curtis Davies once again captains the Rams in the absence of Wayne Rooney, whose isolation period after encountering an individual which had tested positive for COVID-19 comes to an end later this week.

Here are the teams:

Derby County: Roos, Wisdom, Shinnie, Jozwiak, Waghorn, Lawrence, Byrne, Clarke, Buchanan, Davies (C), Knight.

Substitutes: Idem, Forsyth, te Wierik, Bird, Kazim-Richards, Sibley, Holmes.

Cardiff City: Smithies, Bennett, Morrison (C), Vaulks, Bacuna, Ralls, Moore, Nelson, Pack, Ojo, Hoilett.
