Wayne Rooney has made four changes to the Derby County side which drew 0-0 with Brentford on Wednesday night for this afternoon’s Sky Bet Championship clash against Stoke City (3pm kick-off).


Defender Nathan Byrne has served his one-match suspension after picking up five league bookings this season and returns in defence.

There is a return to the starting line-up for Lee Buchanan and he replaces Craig Forsyth, who moves to the substitutes' bench.


Max Bird and Tom Lawrence are the other changes to the Derby side as the Rams eye their first home win of the season.

Graeme Shinnie will sit out the game against the Potters after picking up his fifth league booking of the season against Brentford, whilst Curtis Davies misses through injury.
