Manager Wayne Rooney has made six changes to the side which faced Stoke City before the international break for this afternoon’s Sky Bet Championship clash against Luton Town (3pm kick-off).

There is a start for winger Tom Lawrence, who takes his place in the starting XI for the Rams for the first time since the goalless draw against Stoke City back in December.

The Welsh international forward, who played for his country in a friendly fixture against Mexico last week, injured his ankle against the Potters just before Christmas but has now recovered and makes his first Derby start this calendar year.

Elsewhere, David Marshall returns in goal following a brief spell out of the side. The goalkeeper suffered an injury in the 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest in February and missed the next three games through injury.

The 36-year-old recently played twice for Scotland during the international break in their 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying games against Austria and Israel.

Martyn Waghorn also returns to the starting side after missing out on a place in the squad against Stoke City two weeks ago. On loan striker Lee Gregory also starts for the Rams after being ineligible to face his parent club before the break.
