Head Coach Paul Warne sat down with RamsTV to preview the visit of the Hammers on Monday.
He said: "When we played that first FA Cup game this seasono at Torquay United, I said to the lads that it wasn't about that tie, it's about the ones that you could get in the later rounds. If you can get a Premier League team, especially at home, then you can create a memory for yourself and for your family. I was fortunate enough to play at Anfield in the FA Cup in my career and it's something that my mum still remembers to this day, which means a lot to me.
"I know the importance of it and I appreciate a couple of our lads have played in the Premier League so it won't be such a big thing for them, possibly, but for the younger lads it is.
"It is under the lights at Pride Park, on TV and on a Monday night - the lads can just go out and enjoy it and that's what I want them to do."

Captain Curtis Davies spoke to RamsTV to preview Monday evening's FA Cup clash.
He said: "It's a big game because it's a Premier League team and to have the chance to test yourself against these kind of players; Jarrod Bowen, Declan Rice, Michail Antonio - whoever it is going to be, you like to test yourself against the best.
"The onus is on them to come and win it but we want to make an account of ourselves. I don't like the 'free-hit' phrase, fair enough the onus is on them but you still want to win a game of football, make an account of yourself and progress.
"Me myself more than anyone won't have many opportunities to play against these teams again so if I do get the chance to play, I want to make a good account of myself."
Match Officials
Thomas Bramall will take charge of Monday night's FA Cup clash between the Rams and the Hammers.
Derek Eaton and Steven Meredith will assist Bramall whilst Andrew Madley will be on fourth official duties.
Bramall has been the man in the middle for 20 matches so far in this campaign and the majority of those have come in the top flight and Championship.
He's distributed 57 yellow cards, one red and awarded seven penalties.

East Stand Season Ticket holders that sit in seat 373 or higher within the upper tier or seat 377 or higher within the lower tier of the East Stand will be required to relocate, due to West Ham United’s request for their full entitlement of tickets. Season Ticket Holders that do not have a seat reserved have first refusal on all vacant seats. FA Cup Format
In rounds up to and including the Fourth Round, fixtures resulting in a draw over the course of 90 minutes will go to a replay at the away side.
If the replay once again ends in a draw after 90 minutes, extra-time will be played and then if necessary, a penalty shoot-out.
Since 2016/17, ties have been settled on the day from the Quarter-Finals onwards with the use of extra-time and penalties.
From 2018/19, any tie from the Fifth Round onwards is now also settled by the use of extra-time and penalties rather than a replay.
FA Cup Substitute Rules
In the FA Cup, each club is permitted to name up to nine substitutes on their team sheet, of whom not more than five may take part in the cup tie.
Each club is only permitted a maximum of three opportunities to make substitutions during the game, although clubs may make substitutions at half time and any that are made will not count towards the maximum of three opportunities
