dcfc.co.uk previews Saturday evening's encounter at the King Power Stadium.

The Rams will be looking build on the four points they have achieved so far this week, when they travel to the King Power Stadium on Saturday to face automatic promotion chasers Leicester City.

Last weekend’s enthralling 3-2 victory over Birmingham City live in front of the Sky Sports cameras was followed up with a well-earned point at home to Cardiff City on Tuesday evening, as the Rams entered the top-half of the npower Championship.

Leicester City go into Saturday’s showdown off the back of a 1-0 defeat to Leeds United at Elland Road. However, the Foxes’ home form has been particularly impressive this season, with their only League blemish coming in a 2-1 defeat to second-placed Crystal Palace.

And here on dcfc.co.uk, we will bring you all you need to know ahead of tomorrow evening’s game.

Derby County Team News

Rams boss Nigel Clough says Gareth Roberts will have his fitness assessed ahead of this weekend’s East Midlands derby at Leicester City, after picking up a calf complaint in Tuesday’s 1-1 draw with Cardiff City.

The left-back was replaced by James O’Connor in the 27th minute in the midweek encounter, after feeling some slight tightness in his calf.

Elsewhere, long-term absentee Shaun Barker (knee) and forward Jamie Ward (hamstring) continue their rehabilitation from injury.

We Said

Manager Nigel Clough: “We are due something; we have not scored at Leicester for the last three seasons.

“We have found it difficult playing there, but if there are going to be any group of players that will change that, it will be this one.

“It looks a home banker on paper if you look at their home form and our away form, but you just never know in the Championship.

“They are playing us on the back of a defeat to Leeds United which was a bit of a surprise, but they are extremely dangerous at home.”

They Said

Midfielder Andy King: "They're all big games at the moment because of where we're trying to get to, but Derby obviously has a bit more on it because of what it means to the fans.

"We've done that pretty well in the last few, especially against Derby, so we'll be looking to keep that going with the fans' help on Saturday.

"Our record at King Power Stadium has been great so far this season and we put six past Ipswich last time out, so the whole squad should be full of confidence.”
