England’s Under-21s are back in 2017 UEFA European Under-21 Championship Finals action this evening with a clash against Slovakia (5pm kick-off BST).

Aidy Boothroyd’s side kicked off their involvement in this summer’s tournament in Poland with a 0-0 draw against Sweden on Friday.

Derby County duo Will Hughes and Jonathan Mitchell were unused substitutes for the Three Lions in the game.

Midfielder Hughes will be hoping to force his way into the starting line-up for tonight’s game, while Mitchell and Manchester City’s on-loan Norwich City goalkeeper Angus Gunn are acting as cover for first-choice shot-stopper Jordan Pickford.

Slovakia defeated hosts Poland 2-1 in their Group A opener and England know there’s little room for error from this point if they are to reach the knockout stages.
