Five of Derby County’s first team squad could potentially be involved as the race to reach the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals in Russia concludes this month.


Tom Lawrence, Joe Ledley, Ikechi Anya, Chris Martin and Richard Keogh have all been confirmed in their respective squads for the final round of qualifiers.

Lawrence, Ledley, Anya and Martin joined up with their respective nations on Sunday, whilst Keogh joined the Ireland camp on Monday.

Additionally, midfielder Jason Knight has been called up to the Republic of Ireland Under-17 squad for their UEFA Under-17 Championship qualifiers against Azerbaijan and Bulgaria on the 10th and 13th October respectively.
