Derby County duo Tom Lawrence and Joe Ledley have been named in the Wales squad for their upcoming international friendly against Mexico.

Ryan Giggs’ side will travel to the United States to face the likes of Javier Hernandez and Carlos Vela, with Juan Carlos Osorio looking to prepare his team ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

The 90,000-capacity Rose Bowl in Los Angeles, California will provide the setting as Lawrence and Ledley look to make their first international appearances since the November break.

Prior to that, the squad will take part in an open training session at the Racecourse in Wrexham on Monday 21st May.

Lawrence will be aiming to score in consecutive games for his country after he struck in the 1-1 draw against Panama, whilst Ledley could be set to earn his 77th international cap.

The Derby forward will be going into the game off the back of a promising first season with the Rams after scoring six goals and recording seven assists in the league this term, whilst Ledley made 26 appearances after joining the club in September.
