It was a good afternoon for winger Kyle McAllister as he scored and earned a valuable point for his St Mirren side on the road against high-flying Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership.

McAllister cut inside from the right-hand side just after the hour mark and unleashed an unstoppable strike to put St Mirren ahead, before Aberdeen equalised 15 minutes later to earn a point in the 2-2 draw.

Whilst the result does not move McAllister's side off the bottom of the table, it does go a long way to instilling confidence into the side ahead of the run-in.

Max Lowe also featured in the game for Aberdeen but was substituted on 64 minutes.

In Sky Bet League One, a number of players featured for their respective loan clubs this weekend.

Luke Thomas helped his Coventry City side move up to 9th in the table after a convincing 3-0 victory against Walsall. He was eventually substituted in the 91st minute as the Sky Blues saw the game out confidently.

George Thorne made his second appearance for Luton Town this weekend who extended their lead at the top of the table. They beat Fleetwood Town 2-1 at Highbury as the midfielder featured for the final eight minutes of the game.

Jacob Butterfield played 80 minutes in Bradford City’s goalless draw against Plymouth Argyle, whilst Jonathan Mitchell did not feature for Shrewsbury Town this weekend as they drew 1-1 at home to Burton Albion.

In League Two, Timi Elsnik played 72 minutes for Northampton Town as they recorded a clean sheet and a 0-0 draw against Crawley Town as they stayed in 16th position.

Central defender Alex Pearce was in FA Cup action at the weekend for his loan side Millwall on Saturday. Pearce played the full game and kept a clean sheet in their 1-0 win against AFC Wimbledon which saw them reach the Quarter Final stage of the competition.

Young goalkeeper Matt Yates kept a clean sheet in Hereford’s 0-0 draw against Ashton United.
