Attacking midfielder Luke Thomas put in another fine display for Coventry City but was unfortunately on the losing side this weekend.

The 19-year-old, who extended his loan spell with the Sky Blues until the end of the season last week, played the full 90 minutes for the Sky Blues but they fell to a 2-1 defeat away at Scunthorpe United.

Two Derby County players out on loan squared up against each other this weekend as Chris Martin’s Hull City travelled to Alex Pearce’s Millwall side in the FA Cup.

It was Pearce’s first game for his loan side and it was his side which managed to reach the Fourth Round of the competition following a 2-1 home win.

Elsewhere, in the FA Cup, Kellan Gordon was an unused substitute for Lincoln City in their FA Cup Third Round loss away to Everton, whilst in League Two Timi Elsnik played 34 minutes for Mansfield Town this weekend before being replaced as they lost 3-2 to Carlisle United, ending their 17 game unbeaten run.

Goalkeeper Matt Yates played the full 90 minutes and continued to impress for Hereford as they drew 1-1 with league leaders Chorley this weekend.

Aaron Eyoma (Woking), Alex Babos (Real Union) and Ethan Wassall (Hereford FC) all did not feature for their respective loan sides this weekend, whilst Nick Blackman (Sporting Gijon) did not have a fixture.
